HOLY CRAP!

Mike and I went to Bridal Veil Falls today to snap some pictures and enjoy some bonding time. What happened next is something we won't soon forget. We were watching some ice climbers for about a half an hour. We were checking them out as the made progress up the sheet of ice(picture 1). It might be hard to capture but that was the whole side of the mountain. I would say several hundred yards up. We were able to get some good shots of the climbers. We hiked to the falls and took some more pictures then left back to the climbers. After a few minutes of watching we headed for the Jeep. When all of a sudden there was a huge rumbling and instantly we knew it was not good! AVALANCHE! The whole mountainside was being washed in a blanket of powder. We rushed back to our spot and were able to capture the slide(pictures 6-9). Immediately we started praying for the climbers safety. We didn't leave until we could account for them all. The guys at the top of where it triggered looked exhausted but in ok condition. Grab your camera people! There is adventure everywhere, we just have to look!
