Good Morning World! I think it is time for a little manliness in the never ending series of family bloggers. My purpose is to entertain and amuse. I will occasionally sound off on some important issues while keeping the mad man ramblings to a minimum. Nahhh! Who Are we kidding it will all sound like ramblings. Ok, let's get started with a little introduction. I am Adam Medina, husband to Medina family blog, brother-in-law to Day and Hill family blog, and the bother-in-law to Lindsay Nielsen's blog. We do alot of family things so I hope to stay away from redundancy.
Moab-Eight mile and Anticline overlook We set out around 7:00 am from our campground on a good half day adventure. We found out really early that a GPS is handy but only if you see the road before you whiz past it going 40 mph on a dirt road. After a few bouts with tourettes we found Looking Glass Arch, which is really neat and couldn't bee seen from the trail. After a few minutes of sight seeing, I mooned everyone and we moved on to the next stop. We cruised along slowly to the next stop at Rockland Ranch. It's a community of survivalists waiting for JESUS in a rock. Jokes on them,I am waiting on JESUS in my nice house in suburbia. I have running water, ha ha. We told Lindsay they were naked and she bought it for a second. We decided to drive thru their compound and got a weird feeling so we left. We kept on going until we reached a little house also blasted in the rocks. There was a little house with an outhouse that looked to be abandoned, but set up like people lived there. We played on the rock it was blasted into. After that we started to haul butt because it was getting hot and breakfast sucked that day. We hit the Anticline trail and found it rather boring at first. The best highlight of this trail is the overlook. You get to go behind a mesa and see some awesome views of the Colorado River and the trails below. The others bravely climbed into the cracks in the mesa while I, much smarter and less nimble stayed below. We then saddled back up and drove to end of the trail where we had another overlook. The view was great! About that time I was ready to move on, we sped up the pace and headed back to camp for some swimming and rest. We had a great time on the trail and will be back in the fall to try some more challenging trails. I am having a custom trailer built to pull behind my Jeep and hope to have it in a couple weeks. Hopefully this will solve our space issue and open things up for more adventures. We have had a lot of toys in our short lifetime and by far I am having the most fun with my Jeep. Since my Jeep is almost the way I want it, I have started looking for AJ's. The family that plays together stays together!
